About
A public gesture: a coin in a fountain, or a thank-you for work that usually goes unseen.
Background
People already toss coins into civic water and leave cash for service. The awkward part is the middle — wallets, change, “do you take Venmo?” Wish You Well is a plaque and a phone: scan, pay, done.
We run the payment stack so a city dock, a hotel valet, or a cafe doesn’t have to become a merchant. Wish You Well is merchant of record. About 5% stays with the platform; Stripe’s card fee is estimated at 2.9% + $0.30; the rest is owed to the place or person.
How money moves
A gift lands on the Wish You Well Stripe account. The ledger records the gross, the Stripe estimate, the platform fee, and the amount owed. Pilot payouts are manual — Venmo and the like — then marked paid. Stripe Connect is not part of this version.
Trust
Every pay page names the place, a short story, and where you are. After a successful gift you get a receipt. We don’t sell contact details. Privacy.
